- 1 roll of rectangular puff pastry, 230 g (Ensure your puff pastry is thawed if frozen)
- 8 slices of Parma ham or San Daniele ham
- 6 fresh figs
- Grated Parmesan
- 1 egg
Preheat your oven to 190°C (375°F)
Carefully unroll the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface. Layer the ham slices evenly across the pastry, leaving a small border around the edges.
Slice the figs thinly and arrange them over the ham.
Sprinkle generously with grated Parmesan cheese.
Fold the longer edges of the puff pastry rectangle inwards. Gently roll the pastry into a single roll and place on a baking sheet lined with baking paper, roll seam side down.
Brush the top with beaten egg for a golden finish.
Bake for 20–25 minutes, or until the pastry is puffed and golden brown.
Let it cool completely before slicing and serving your delectable ham and fig strudel.
