Ingredients
  

  • 320 g spaghetti 11¼ oz
  • 3 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil + more to taste
  • 1 clove of garlic peeled and halved
  • 200 g tomato puree 7 oz
  • 150 g canned tuna 5¼ oz
  • Salt to taste
  • Ground black pepper to taste
  • Chili pepper flakes to taste
  • Fresh parsley chopped

Instructions
 

  • Cook spaghetti according to package directions until al dente.
  • While the pasta cooks, prepare the tuna sauce. Heat 3 tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil in a large non-stick frying pan. Add the garlic and sauté for 1 minute.
  • Add the tomato purée and cook for 5 minutes.
  • Remove the garlic and add the tuna pieces, breaking up the tuna with a wooden spoon.
  • Season with salt, black pepper and chili pepper flakes to taste. Finally, add chopped parsley and mix. Cook for about another 5 minutes.
  • Drain the pasta al dente and then transfer it to the pan with the tuna sauce. Toss the cooked pasta with the tuna sauce mixture.
  • Serve the tuna spaghetti warm, seasoned with a little more olive oil and chopped parsley to taste.
